Lady in Red

February 22nd, 2009
C’n’Me were invited to attend our friend’s – tommy & cici – wedding. we met these cool-cats in our marriage prep class and got the invite shortly after graduation. they’re an interesting couple – strong faith-based christians surrounded by their usually anti-religious chinese culture. actually, tommy’s working on his ministry right now so he can spread some good news to his people… cici just graduated, so in the mean time she’ll be his sugar-mama. :)
at the reception, cici changed from her white wedding dress to her kwa – a more-traditional chinese wedding dress that’s often red in color (this is for good luck – to keep away evil spirits). no matter what you call it, cici looked good! tommy’s a lucky guy…

Manatee Zone

February 21st, 2009
C’n’Me headed out to crystal river w/ our o-town crew to do some snorklin’ and divin’. well – some of us did some snorklin’ and divin’ – others looked pretty on the boat. :) crystal river is known for its fresh-water springs, brackish water otherwise, and sea cows. that’s right – manatee zone! last time we snorkeled w/em, they stayed in their roped off safe zones, just out of reach… this time, they wanted to play. it’s hard to describe petting a 1k lbs sea cow, but i’ll give it a try… imagine a cow… now imagine that same cow w/ flippers for legs… now imagine that cow swimming… now imagine that cow flipping over in the water so you can scratch its underbelly… now imagine when you scratch its underbelly it poops. that’s about it. :)

Don’t You Wish You Had A Party Every Time You Upgraded Your Computer?

February 12th, 2009
my client upgraded their software (a little tougher than something-like xp to vista, but with about the same number of issues) so i thought i’d throw them a party. we were going to do a high-class dinner and dancing – then i remembered who I was dealing with. and the beer flowed like wine. and they danced on beer-stained floors. and from what they remembered, they had a great time! :)

Ketchup Is A Great Way to Ring in the New Year!

December 28th, 2008
from ia to pa, C’n’Me continued our travels. we decided to ring in the new year w/ my-boy bart and his bride-to-be. course, even they know they weren’t the coolest part of the trip. no, heinz field was that for C’n’Me. our first nfl game ever and it was the steelers vs browns – not too shabby. aside from benny’s big injury, the day went off w/out a hitch. great tailgating, getting sick, rallying on tv, watchin’ the stiller victory, and not having our florida-blood freeze in the pa-cold.new years eve was a night of music, booze, and board games. bart & stacey’s neighbors joined in on the fun. once shawn realized he didn’t have to close his own eyes and guess what pam was writing, cranium got a lot more competitive! :) the movements game was the most fun… the alcohol helped.

Biz Opportunity – Happy Birthday Jesus!

December 24th, 2008
C’n’Me did our iowa-tour for another 3-part christmas extravaganza! we decided to do the kansas city-sydney-pleasant hill-ankeny-kansas city route. we actually got to thinking about opening an ‘all about iowa’ roadtrip and charter a bus for our future journeys. we think rodeo (notice i didn’t say ‘the’ rodeo), cornfields, and an interesting phenomenon where construction signs cautioning a ‘lane closure ahead’ has every car move over miles-before the actual lane closure (this will be a high-point for the o-town folks who’ve never moved over before the start of the cones in the history of our town). anywho – the family-time was a great escape for both C’n’Me… watching nieces and nephews open gifts never gets old (even if the drive does)!

Why Not Just Call Themselves 10 Mary’s?

December 20th, 2008
C’n’Me, along w/ our o-town crew, decided to hit up Seven Mary Three as they were playing a ped-mall concert in downtown o-town. for those of you racking your brains, their big hit was ‘cumbersome’ (i have become… cumbersome… to this world…). now, if you ask Me how i thought they did, i’d say ‘awesome... o-town’s their home-town, and they didn’t disappoint. jason ross can grow a phat-beard too!’ if you were to ask C, she’d say ‘last thing i remember, there was a really loud band playing. oh yeah, and someone had a big beard, I had to go to the bathroom real-bad, and my feet hurt.’ I think our drive-home pic explains it all. :)

Picaso’s Got Nothin On Local-Artist JJ-Somebody

December 14th, 2008
C’n’Me went to an art-fair held on our lake-community. After hours of booth-after-crappy-booth, we came across art even-we could appreciate. we ended up buying 3 pieces of local-artist jj-somebody. we liked them because they did such a good job relating man’s struggle against man in an ever-competitive world of overlapping priorities. that, and they matched our furniture colors real-well!
